Focus and Scope

ELTech: Journal of English Learning and Technology focuses on scholarly work that examines the relationship between English language education and technology across diverse learning contexts and educational levels. The journal is particularly interested in manuscripts that go beyond surface-level descriptions of technological tools and engage critically with the pedagogical, linguistic, and contextual dimensions of technology integration in English teaching and learning.

ELTech publishes studies that offer evidence-based insights, theoretical contributions, or practical innovations relevant to English language educators, curriculum designers, researchers, and policymakers. The journal especially welcomes work that addresses underrepresented contexts, including non-Western and multilingual settings where English occupies a second or foreign language position.

The scope of ELTech includes the following areas:

  • Technology-Enhanced English Language Teaching and Learning
  • Computer-Assisted, Mobile-Assisted, and AI-Assisted Language Learning
  • Digital Learning Media, Gamification, and Immersive Learning in ELT
  • Online, Blended, and Hybrid English Learning Environments
  • Technology-Supported Assessment, Feedback, and Learner Autonomy
  • Ethical, Pedagogical, and Equity Issues in Technology-Integrated ELT

ELTech welcomes manuscripts from all educational levels and across formal, non-formal, and informal learning settings. Manuscripts that are not grounded in English language education, lack a clear connection to technology-mediated learning, or do not meet basic standards of scholarly rigor and originality are not within the scope of the journal.
